Dress
Wear long sleeves, pants, and light-colored, loose-fitting clothing when you are outside.
DEET
Apply insect repellent as directed on the label. APH recommends DEET and links to EPA guidance on registered repellents.

Remove standing water from gutters, birdbaths, toys, tires, flowerpots, and other containers at least weekly.
